Will your school stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians?
Aid to the Church in Need has invited every Catholic High School in Scotland to unite on the 11th June 2015 with persecuted Christians worldwide.
Objective
The
objective of the day is to inspire, raise awareness and awaken the conscience
of our Scottish youth to know that as individuals and together they can make a
difference in our world where fellow Christians are being persecuted because of
their belief in Christ.
We will do this through:
Prayer: The day will involve praise, worship
and scripture.
Information: The students will hear testimony from
speakers who have first-hand knowledge and experience of persecution. Students
will also receive accessible literature to take away with them.
Action: Schools and students will be asked on
the day to commit themselves to stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians.
Outcome
The
work and education of the youth in Scotland will not end with the rally. ACN is
committed to sharing the story of the persecuted Church and inspiring all denominations,
faith groups and those with no faith. ACN’s hope for the day is that the
students leave the rally recognising that religious freedom is a human right for
all.
