Having
only been in my new post with ACN a few weeks now, I must say how amazed I am
with the dedication and support of ACN Scotland’s benefactors, parishes and
schools. So I would like to start this
Blog with a HUGE THANK YOU!!!
So far
most of this week has been taken up by event preparations. Or should that read preparations
for the 3 events we have coming up!
ANYWAY dates
for your diary include:
- ‘Extremism, Hope and Faith’: ACN's Annual Event, an evening of witness, prayer and reflection for the Persecuted Church - 6.30pm on Thursday the 9th of October in Motherwell.
- ‘Faith and Freedom: the Scottish launch of the 2014 Religious Freedom Report- 6.30pm on Wednesday the 5th of November in Edinburgh.
- ‘Ecumenical Service: Religious Freedom Report’- 7.00pm on Thursday the 6th of November in Ayr.
Last night
Lorraine McMahon (Head of Operations in Scotland) and I were fortunate last night to be invited to St Paul’s Justice and Peace Group. The parish is in Ayr and is part of the Diocese of Galloway. Father Donnelly and the parish group are very supportive of ACN and the work we do. We were invited to give a brief update on the work of ACN and begin planning for the November 6th Event.
Have YOU considered
inviting us along to your Justice and Peace group?
(Why not give us a wee call on 01698 337 472?)
Ecumenical
Service
St Paul’s
and ACN are working in partnership to deliver an Ecumenical Service on the 6th of November. The Service is being organised to mark the launch of the Religious
Freedom Report. The Service will begin at 7.00pm and will include prayer,
reflection, hymns and a presentation from the Editor in Chief of the Report:
John Pontifex.
