ACN Scotland meets the Scottish Government

Hello Friends,

Just a wee update regarding a meeting Lorraine and I had on Wednesday afternoon with the Scottish Government.

We met with the Minister for Community Safety & Legal Affairs: Roseanne Cunningham MSP. The meeting was also attended by Ian Glover who is the Head of Race, Religion and Refugee Integration Team at the Scottish Government.

The purpose of the meeting was to introduce our work to the Government and investigate possible ways we can work closer together to achieve ACN’s objective of providing more aid to and awareness of the Church in Need.

Meeting highlights included:

• Meeting the Minister was exciting and hearing how she recognises and appreciates the importance of what ACN does.

• The Minister agreeing to attend the Religious Freedom Report Launch on the 5^th November in Edinburgh.

• The Minister asked ACN to keep her updated about the projects we support and the people we work with.
